Summer Learning Academy

The Memphis-Shelby County Schools (MSCS) Summer Learning Academy (SLA) is a free, 4-week, full-day program for rising K-9 students, focusing on intensive reading and math instruction to combat learning loss. 

Program Highlights:

• The MSCS Summer Learning Academy is a full day, free of charge and serves MSCS students in rising grades K-9
• Before and After Care (provided on a first come, first served basis) is available at no cost for elementary and middle school students. 
• Breakfast and lunch are provided for students at no cost. (Snacks are provided in after care.)
• Transportation is provided for qualified students.
• SLA locations will be clustered based on proximity and capacity.
